The Magic Room Manifesto
The Magic Room is a place we have dreamed about for a long time. It is a way for us to give our wonderful community what it deserves: time, love, and continuous growth and connection. This is why we decided to call it the Magic Room; we wanted to bring the spirit of the Magic Room to our community.
We have built this community around five principles. They connect us to the purpose behind the Magic Room. They are:
Expansion
The central pillar of this community is expansion. This means we embody the commitment to always be becoming, we have a willingness to take on new forms, and we choose to take advantage of the possibilities our neural plasticity allows us. This is a place for expanding into our full selves. Let's grow together.
Radical Belonging
We show up as we are. We don’t have to be perfect or have the right words. We show up as we are, to grow, connect, contribute, think out loud, and be a part of something larger than ourselves. On the flip side, we understand that others show up as they are, imperfect and with half-formed thoughts; we allow ourselves and others the space needed to grow.
Responsibility for Impact
We act with the intention to help one another grow; we do not act to manipulate or harm anyone. However, sometimes we may have an unintended impact of causing harm. When we do, even if it was not our intention, we must take accountability. Conflict is inevitable; resolution is a choice.
Love for Our Home
We have a deep appreciation for this region we call home, and a respect for all the people that call it home. The word home means many things, and the Magic Room is also a home for us. We treat it as we do other places we call home: with love, respect, and appreciation. We take care of our home.
Co-Creation
In isolation we are stagnant, unchanging, and blind to possibilities. However, when we engage with the world around us and the people in it, we can co-create beautiful things. In this community, we have an abundance of wonderful humans who are here because they want more. This is the place to co-create whatever your “more” may be.
